Windy Hill Orchard is conveniently located 5 miles west of York, SC on Highway 5/Black Highway North. The following are step by step directions from a few popular areas to our orchard. Although not all areas are specifically mentioned, these are areas that many people have requested directions from in past years. Although these may not represent the most direct routes from your area, we feel that these routes are the easiest and most reliable ways to access our orchard.

Spartanburg / Gaffney SC:
Take I-85 North to Exit 102. Turn right and follow Highway 198 for 1 mile. Follow the signs towards York. Go straight through traffic light, Highway 198 becomes Highway 5, and continue on highway 5 for 16 miles. Windy Hill Orchard will be on your left.
Columbia / Chester SC:
Take I-77 North to Exit 82-C (this can be a tricky exit so pay careful attention). Turn Right onto Highway 161 (follow the signs towards York), continue for 12.6 miles. Turn Right at the light (towards Blacksburg) onto Highway 161/Highway 5 North, continue for 5 miles (you must continue through the intersection of Hwy 321, Bi-Lo will be on your left). Turn right at the next light to stay on Highway 5 North, continue for 1.3 miles. Windy Hill Orchard will be on your right.
Charlotte Mecklenburg Area:
Via I-85: Take I-85 South to Exit 8. Turn left onto Highway 161 (towards York), continue for 15 miles. Turn right onto Owens Road (there is a large radio tower at the corner of this intersection), continue for 2 miles. Windy Hill orchard will be on your right (you will be approaching from the back of our orchard).
Via I-77: Take I-77 South to Exit 82-C. Turn Right onto Highway 161 (follow the signs towards York), continue for 12.6 miles. Turn Right at the light (towards Blacksburg) onto Highway 161/Highway 5 North, continue for 5 miles (you must continue through the intersection of Hwy 321, Bi-Lo will be on your left). Turn right at the next light to stay on Highway 5 North, continue for 1.3 miles. Windy Hill Orchard will be on your right.
Lake Wylie Area:
Due to recent road construction in this area, this route can be very hard to follow. Please pay careful attention to all road signs and traffic lights when traveling on this route. Beginning at the Buster Boyd Bridge, take Highway 49 Sou th, continue for 3 miles. Turn Left at the light to stay on Highway 49 South, continue for 2.1 miles. Turn right at the light to stay on Highway 49 South (follow the signs towards York), continue for 8.9 miles (This is a very tricky turn, be careful not to turn onto Highway 55 which is the turn just before the turn for Highway 49).
Turn right at the light onto Highway 5 North (follow the signs towards Blacksburg), continue for 3 miles (you must continue through the intersection of Hwy 321, Bi-Lo will be on your left). Turn right at the next light to stay on Highway 5 North, continue for 1.3 miles. Windy Hill Orchard will be on your right. Turn right at the light to stay on Highway 5 North, continue for 1.3 miles. Windy Hill Orchard will be on your right.
Rock Hill, SC:
Follow Highway 161 or Highway 5 towards York. At the light, follow combined Highway 161/Highway 5 North (follow signs towards Blacksburg), and continue for 5 miles (you must continue through the intersection of Hwy 321, Bi-Lo will be on your left). Turn right at the next light to stay on Highway 5 North, continue for 1.3 miles. Windy Hill Orchard will be on your right.
